Founder and CEO
In 2001 Jared Cooper had a vision... and it wasn't building Hybrid cars. Jared knew that building websites was much more than writing code and understood the importance of art and design in websites. The blending of dynamic coding and original designs were the core principals which led to the name Hybrid. Design like a rockstar, code like the matrix. This is what Jared believes makes successful company branding.
Over the last 10 years Jared has helped Hybrid grow by creating countless industry contacts as well as a large client base. Jared's skills he brings to the table consist of graphic design, html / css markup, and proficiency in scripting with PHP, MYSQL, Javascript and Photography.
When Jared isn't working at Hybrid he enjoys rally racing, drifting, gokarting, dirt biking, snowboarding and anything else fast enough to get in trouble with. Jared enjoys competing in a wide range of motorsports as you will see reflected in Hybrid's client portfolio.
John Cooper
Flash Developer / Illustrator / 3D Architect
John has been in the web game for over 6 years and got started at the early age of 15 years old. As the younger brother, John naturally followed in Jared's foot steps, migrating toward the web as a way to expand his creativity. John has designed a large amount of websites rich in visual content using his abilities with Adobe Flash as well as 3D modeling in Maya and his skills as an illustrator.
Since John was a kid he always was drawing on everything in sight from crayons to his Wacom pad today is no different. John carries with him an extraordinary ability to create characters and paint scenes with everything from pencil and paint to mouse and polygon rich 3D models. The skills John brings to Hybrid are a major part of what helps set us apart from our competition.
When John isn't working he enjoys videogames, playing guitar, gokarting, surfing and traveling as well as random adventures.
Cyntia Cooper
Graphic Designer / Motion Artist / App Developer
Cyntia has been in the creative industry for over 5 years and has developed a very unique and adaptive design style. She has worked on a very diverse array of projects with work ranging from logo design to website interface designs all the way to apparel design. Cyntia brings a blend of her upbeat positivity and her very unique design style to the team.
Did we mention she also does App Development? iPhone / iPad apps are the latest skillset she has brought to our team. Cyntia started building apps in 2010 and since has shown great leaps and bounds in scripting with Objective C and Cocoa touch under the Mac frameworks.
When Cyntia isn't designing or coding she loves the outdoors, riding dirtbikes, gokarting, working out and photography.
Kyle Tomita
Photographer / Web Developer
Kyle has built a name for himself over the years as a major force in the motorsports industry taking photos and managing media for Portland Speed Industries. We met Kyle while we were helping Portland Speed Industries establish their branding. Kyle and Hybrid had the same goal for PSI which lead to working together over the years. We were excited when he joined the Hybrid crew and he has been a great asset to the team and partnered with us in other ventures.
Kyle manages the majority of our HTML / CSS front end markup as well as our PHP / MYSQL web development. Kyle has worked on a wide range of projects and websites with us which have continually sharpened his skills, making him one of our greatest strengths.
When he's not at Hybrid Kyle is at PSI helping run all of their media as well as day to day operations. Kyle also enjoys gokarting, rally racing, photography, hiking, riding dirtbikes and lots of other hobbies.
Katherine Neville
Research Analyst / Copywriter / Marketing Genius
Kate has been a professional in her industry for over 4 years and has worked with several fortune 500 companies in her career. She also started Conceptual Revolution in 2009 and with great success she has built a good sized client base that we have worked symbiotically with. With the fast pace of growth we experience with the web we rely greatly on Kate's expertise in trends and market studies.
Kate knows exactly what it takes for a videogame, social netowork, website or app to be successful. With Kate working with us on your project you can count on success!
When Kate isn't kicking ass with Hybrid she enjoys hiking, running, working out, surfing and creative writing.
Michael Hernandez
Game Developer / App Developer
Michael is one of our newest members and we are very lucky to have him on our team. Michael has been in the tech industry for 4 years programming with Java and C as well as many other platforms. Michael is very diverse and adapts very quickly to each project's needs. Michael also is very proficient with the Unity3D and Torque3D game engines.
Michael is also our chief mobile app developer utilizing both iOS and the Android mobile operating systems. Flexibility is key in the mobile app market just as it is with the web so Michael's eclectic approach to development has been very successful in getting projects of all ranges executed.
When Michael isn't working at Hybrid he enjoys sky diving, base jumping, rock climbing and quantum physics.
Loren Haleston
Videographer / Film Editor
Loren is another of our newest members. We met Loren through our friends in the world of motorsports. Loren was making videos for our very own Andrew Coomes when we brought Loren in to handle all of our video / media needs with Hybrid. Our first project with Loren was the video shoot for Golden West Billiards (a Portland, OR billiard table manufacturer). The project was a huge success and we have many more videos on the way with Loren.
